Military Training Aircraft Crashes in Vietnam Mountains

In Dak Lak province in central Vietnam, a military aircraft conducting a training mission crashed into mountainous terrain. In a statement by the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense, it was reported that a Yak-130 aircraft belonging to the Air Force took off at 07:27 local time as part of a planned training mission.

Shortly after takeoff, a technical malfunction occurred and contact with the aircraft was lost. It was stated that the pilot, unable to resolve the malfunction, steered the aircraft away from residential areas toward a safe zone and then ejected using the ejection seat.

The aircraft, which crashed on Mount Hon Vinh, did not cause damage to any residential areas, and the pilot was taken to the hospital with the help of local residents. It was stated that the pilot’s condition is stable, and an official investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
